The End of the Road
All things must pass. As an old man I wanted to take one last trip around Ireland and my pushers got me back safely to Galway. This whole affair has rekindled my faith in human nature. There is still as much a sense of community and humanity in this country as there ever was.
I’ve lost track of the random acts of kindness. Everyone who helped me is listed somewhere on this website. All bar one. It takes a different class of madman to make a foolish idea work and Padraic certainly made this one happen.
Above all, my most memorable times were spent with all my new Down Syndrome friends. Forty days ago, like most people, I saw disability; now all I see is astonishing ability.
Thank you for everything and the wonderful memories.
